Collaboration within the social economy

Background information:
The social economy can be briefly described as the third sector in the economy of a country, sometimes also called the voluntary sector (the other two being private sector and the public sector). Activities in the social economy are characterized by the fact that they are not traditional for-profit businesses and not publicly owned and operated business either. The social economy actors are organizationally independent from the government, and non-profit. Examples of such organizations are sports associations, social work cooperatives, religious communities and others.

Mission Statement:
Does the actors in the social economy interact in Gävleborg, and if so how? How does the interaction within the social economy in other regions (especially interesting is the comparison of Dalarna and Värmland)? What forms of cooperation could be developed and what impact would it give the actors and the rest of society? What synergies can be achieved?

These and similar questions, are interesting for us. The aim is to gain knowledge on the interactions within the social eknomin and the possibilities of increasing cooperation. Problem definition and issues are open for discussion
