Background:
During rebuild and upgrades of boiler plants it is common to meet restrictions when installing gas flow measurements in an optimal position considering the accuracy of the flow measurement.
Objectives:
Study available theories on fluid mechanics adopted on the air foil/venturi measurement device and do comparative calculation with available design manuals.
• Perform CFD modeling of venturi measurement and compare with calculated parameters
• Perform CFD modeling of air foil measurement and compare with calculated parameters
• Perform sensitivity of non optimal design of connecting ductwork by using CFD modeling
