Visualisation of stereo video data on true 3D display that does not require glasses

Setred has developed a high end 3D display technology that requires no glasses or head tracking. The ambition is clear – become the world leader in 3D display technologies.
The technology was invented by founder Christian Møller during his PhD at the University of Cambridge. The company develops cutting edge technology within the areas of optics, electronics and software. The company is located in London, Stockholm and Oslo.
The position
To visualise non-3D data on Setred’s 3D display, the depth or disparity of the data must be estimated. The main questions are
• What methods exist today? Investigate and evaluate pros and cons.
• Is it possible to get real time performance?
• Is it possible to get satisfactory quality?
• Is it possible to implement a first version?
Candidate profile
You should have strong knowledge of computer graphics and signal processing. You should be self driven and be able to take responsibility for your own work
