Background:
There is an increasing demand for development of miniaturized selective assays capable to determine of multiple analytes. They are finding applications within disease screening, and investigation and monitoring of biochemical processes in-vivo.

Project description:
Electrochemistry using microelectrodes (diam. 5-10 um) is a highly versatile technique for in-vivo analysis due to their high sensitivity and rapidity. The aim of the project is to develop an array of microelectrodes each individually modified by different ligands. The device will be used for selective and simultaneous in-vivo determination of important bioanalytes such as oxygen, glucose, insulin, nitric oxide, neurotransmitters, hormones and pH released from living cells.

Qualifications: Candidates should have strong background in analytical chemistry.

Terms of employment: Masters degree diploma (40 or 60 weeks).

Application should include a short cover letter, CV, copies of degrees and transcripts of academic record (all attested), a list of at least two references familiar with the applicant’s qualifications.
