Global launch project, within a global and virtual organization, document, analyze and evaluate

Autodesk is using a company specific method for launching our products simultaneously, with one voice across the entire globe. As we are present in over 100 countries on all continents this is a challenging but very exciting task. To make it possible we have developed a method that is executed through a virtual team/organization, spread across the globe, involving all functions of the company. The way of working is quite unique and builds on new ways of thinking and planning as well as technology. In the launch process there are several aspects of interest, leadership style, communication methods, split of workload and so on. Still everything we do needs to value and respect the differences in language, culture, time zones and so on.

The process has been developed over the course of the past two years, but has not been documented properly. We would like you to document the process but we are also interested in an analysis and an evaluation of the effectiveness of the process, compared to other organizational setups and processes used for the same purpose
