Management of Soil, Water and Plant Resources under Semi-arid Conditions (India)
University (TNAU) in Southern India was established in 1982 with financial aid from SIDA and as a consquence of earlier research in collaboration with Swedish scientists on the threat of a receding groundwater in the Coimbatore District. Since this time KTH has a collaboration agreement with WTC on research regarding water resources managment. Opportunities are available for KTH-students and other university students in Sweden to carry out their MSc thesis studies there, ie their field studies under guidance of an Indian supervisor and their final report writing under their chosen Swedish examiner, who establishes necessary contact with the Indian counterpart.
