Thesis in distributed communication systems for mobile and wired services

Kenet Works AB is a company specialized in mobile communication using Internet technology. We approach third party content providers and offer them a turnkey solution to reach their users when they are stationary as well as when they are mobile.

Kenet Works has developed a communication platform that applications access via API:s. This platform provides loadbalancing, sessionhandling and NAT/firewall traversal. The platform is a scalable, distributed system.

Kenet Works would like to investigate and test the possibilities and effects of distributing this platform to full extent, not only over the centrally clustered servers offered by a service provider, but also over end-user platforms.

Apart from a report and analysis, the thesis will also produce an implementation to prove the concept.
