Background
The Electrolux plant in Mariestad will go through a large transformation during the next year.
The master thesis work will support the future production strategy concerning layout and automation with the aim to reduce the overall complexity.
Purpose
The purpose is to find a way to better optimize the new assembly area, including methods to better determine & plan the required operator tasks and indirect man-hour support in scenarios with different levels of automation (LoA). The assessment should consider the effects of changes in flexibility (volume, variants, models) and location of sub-assembly (on-line, off-line, outsourced).
