Market study for an energy saving solution in ventilation
The Camfil Farr Group is a world leader in the production and development of air filters and clean air solutions. The Group, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, has approximately 3,300 employees and sales in the range of SEK 4.5 billion.
Energy efficiency is an increasingly important factor in new construction and refurbishments. One of the most energy consuming parts of a building is the ventilation. Camfil Farr has developed an air intake concept that can save energy and improve the indoor air quality. To determine the marketing strategy for this solution, an assessment of potential market is needed.
The thesis project consists of the following:
1. Scan for similar solutions available on the market
2. Segmentation of the potential end-user market. Examples of segments could be industrial, residential, hospitals, schools etc. For each segment, a profile including key purchasing criteria is required.
3. A geographical breakdown of the potential market.
4. Suggest design and production set-up based on the conclusions from the study above.
A successful completion of the thesis project could give the student or students the opportunity to stay and lead the commercialisation.
