Efficient use of the CPP Emulator within CPP Design Unit (kr)

Proposed content:

* Get acquainted test nodes and emulator used for function testing the CS (Control System) and UP (User Plane) products within CPP (Connectivity Packet Platform).
* Get acquainted with methods of running test cases in target and emulator environment.
* Describe general benefits with using an emulator compare to existing target configurations using figures and facts, e.g. a business case.
* Propose product levels, e.g. system functions, where the emulator is a good alternative to target testing.
* Propose in which test phases (CT, MCT, FT and ST) and test activities (test preparation, configuration and automation) where the benefit in using the emulator is high.
* Propose what tools can be used together with the emulator, e.g. LOCO, COCO , MoShell and CETP2.
* Propose the necessary changes in the test environment, both SW and HW, and in changes in the IS/IT environment to enable more efficient use of the emulator.
Scope and limitations

The proposed implementation can either be:
* Completed for the describing part and all four proposals above
* Completed for at least the describing part and three of the proposals above
* Not fully completed

Prerequisites:
The two (2) applicants should be near to or have a minimum M.Sc. in electrical engineering or computer science with a specialization/major in the telecom/datacom area.
Good knowledge in Expect/Tcl, Unix and ClearCase is wanted. Fluent in English
