Develop Mobile and PC Community Portals using the latest technology

Thesis description

The goal of this thesis is to investigate and implement a Community Portal both for PC and Mobiles. There are some portal examples available which can serve as a base for the development. There are also a number of mobile services that can be linked in to the portals available such as Mobile TV and Traffic Information MMS. The goal will be to have a community portal both on Mobile and PC which can be used for demos.

The thesis could be performed by one or two students.

The exact scope of the thesis will be defined togeather with the student/students.

Technologies and tools used could be:
JAVA, J2EE, BEA Weblogic, JBOSS, Oracle SOA suite incuding BPEL, Web 2.0, AJAX.


Qualifications

M.Sc or B.Sc. student with deep knowledge and interest in JAVA programming, Web design, Mobile technology.

Ericsson Multimedia Solutions Reference Network

Ericsson Multimedia Solutions Reference Network is a unit where many of the products and solutions in the Multimedia area are gathered and verified. We also develop new application prototypes and demos.

The thesis work will be done at the Ericsson Multimedia Solutions Reference Network in Kista, Kistagången 26.
