Massive crowds 2000+ for real time 3D games and simulation with animation, AI and physics. Simulating massive crowds on the GPU

OBS! ANSÖKNINGSTIDEN FÖR DETTA EXJOBB HAR LÖPT UT.
You will be working with our latest 3D game and simulation R&D work around massive crowds of characters for real time 3D games and simulation.

The offcial tital would be Simulating animated massive crowds with AI and physcs using the graphics processor rather than the CPU.

Earlier work has done the AI, Physics and animation engine for massive crowds and you will have each of these projects results and source code to work from.

They are done in DirectX9 mostly one is done in OpenGL, but most of the functionality is API independent since the simulation runs almost entirely on the graphics processor the GPU and that code is in high level shader language.

You will be implementing your work in Ogre which is a free open source 3D engine that supports both OpenGL and DirectX9.

The right candidate has experience of C++ and either OpenGL or DirectX or maybe both.

The goal is to reach more than 50 FPS (frames per second) with 2000+ characters.
