Evaluation of end-user interface design for multimedia search engines

The goal of this thesis work is to examine the end-user experience of the design of search engines with a number of different media types (image, text, video and audio).
The thesis worker will:
- Perform comparative study on selected search engines to benchmark services and to identify key functionality and ways of implementation.
- Evaluate methods of measuring user experience of different features of search engines like suggest similar search terms, book marking of search results, website thumbnails and other popular features. The goal of the user experience is to maximize visits, page views and time spent on the site.
- Perform study measuring visits, page views and time spent on Picsearch site after implementing new feature.
Thesis worker requirement: Experience and excellence in graphic user interface design. Necessary programming skills for implementing new features.
